Yes these little trucks are great in the snow. Better than my Expedition and F150 I had. The shorter wheel base makes a big difference. Reminds me of my 96 Bronco it was a beast in deep snow.
My fob is always in my pocket and never had any issues. You definitely have something going on. Could it possibly be your phone interfering with the fob???

There is a setting for seats and steering wheel to come on automatically. . Mine come on automatically when it's cold out. Yesterday they were both on and so was my air.
I think you are correct. I checked the settings and there isn't anything specific for air. It's definitely a intermittent issue so must be a sensor of some sort.
