The transmission has a parking paw that is only activated when placed in park. Even the new Ford Electric vehicles still use a parking paw.

I Googled it. It's called an adjustable chase rack. You can use it for the things you listed and more I guess.

I would say it's Fords wonky system. Mine did the same thing after it was built, had a crazy shipping date to go 30 miles. Keep checking, call salesperson or Ford Marketing they can tell you exactly what is going on.

Search mirror tap I just checked lots of pics and explained

There are pics if your search dash cam. It's in 2 pieces. Take smaller piece out by pulling down then the bigger piece pops down. I got a plastic flatbar with my dashcam and got another with my wire tap. Makes things easier.
