Hey out of curiosity is this somewhat close to the shape you ended up bending the bracket to? Did you also attach any 3M tape to the small portion that sits above window before the headliner?
Direct injection engines are naturally louder and tick. They also normally have their high pressure fuel pumps up higher towards the top of the engine bay. As different and weird it may sound it's normal. I have a BMW G82 M4 Comp and it's almost the same way.
There's another part of this thread that breaks down which prong is the "hot side"
If you don't have both fuses in the tap and if the fuse tap is in the incorrect orientation it would not work.
Not sure to be honest but since 21+22 is already only 5 amp I don't think it would hurt anything. Just going off what I noticed.
Does your dashcam come with a 12v cigarette lighter power cord? Can you confirm the unit is good to go with a known working power source first?
Your new 5 amp on 28...
Will it always open slowly with this part or can you assist a normal speed opening with your hand?
It's cool and I want it (tickles that part of the brain) but I also keep items in the glove box that I'd like to be able to access quickly if needed.
I ended up modifying the Escort and Blackvue Blendmounts like @jrRaptor did.
For those curious you can reuse the middle screw from the Blackvue stem mount.
The two outer screws were upgraded to:
#6-32 x 2"
#6-32 x 3/4"
Also was able to add five #6 black nylon washers to the outside gap and it...
I'm going to try this micro 3 fuse tap. Single review said it did not need trimming and the photos don't appear to show the raised outer edges. I'll report back on the fitment and quality.

I picked up some Bussmann ATR and ATL 5 amp fuses. Never know what you're getting...
Thank you as always. And did you use 30 amp fuses on #28 and 5 amp fuses on #21 #22?
Yeah my local hardware and automotive stores are striking out on the Micro III taps too.
I think that's the wrong question. It's more a question of good, better, best. I prefer a 4K camera with a Starvis 2 sensor to see better in low light and actually make out license plates. Then there is the question of where/how you want it installed. I like a Blendmount solution so any tint...
I would say the cover assembly felt slightly loose higher towards the headliner, that's it. But it's never rattled or visibly shake while driving even after removing to do a mirror tap.
20%
Laid 70 over the rears which brings it to about 15% Then did 20% on the fronts. Can barely notice any difference.
Rule of thumb is it's original dye % X the new film % so .70 × .20
Dot matrix is what it's called. A lot of manufacturers use it on their windows. A lot of tint installers have trouble laying over it. Some people resort to even sanding down the dot matrix to allow tint to fully adhere. I will say a part of it is a skill issue in making it look good.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I've only installed the 2 channels in my 2 door sports coupes.
Which side of the vehicle did you run the rear channel up? Passenger?
Did running the rear channel cable require removing any roof liner or B pillar trim? Or were you just able to tuck it as you...
