Good details on what has changed in SYNC4.
Seem odd that Ford asks for the contact names only, not phone or e-mail addresses.
I guess they can cross reference names to the hundreds of data bases out there to get the rest of the info.
That looks a lot better. For the life of me I still can't understand who made the decision to make everything else Magnetic gray but make that part silver.
Yes, I understand that. And if it's like on the 5G forum, after 3 or 4 reported failures on 6G there will be some people here that thinks all 6G trans will fail before 100k.
That applies to all vehicle forums, even Ranger 5G where there are people there that adamantly believe that the 5G transmission will fail on all 5G Rangers before 100K, despite there being 10s of millions of F150, Mustang, Explorers and Rangers with the 10R80. Are there problems with the 10R80...
When I leave work for lunch, my phone stays at work, that's when I get the message about location and data services active, etc.
At that time, I can't make or receive calls, cause no phone.
But when I do have my phone, I can make/receive calls and text paired thru Blue Tooth, but I don't have...
You can still tow 7,500 lbs. without a TBC, just get a trailer with surge brakes.
And in some cases, in order to tow that much, you will need a weight distribution hitch, or should Ford provide those also in the standard package?
As others said, it was an option available at time of purchase. I expect that in the next few months they will have a system available for self-install. On 5G, it was about a year after introduction that a solution for a TBC was devised.
Things must be different in SYNC4. On SYNC3, I do not need Android Auto to make or receive calls and text. Just need a Blue Tooth connection to the phone.
One way to find out if SYNC keeps those contact photos is to leave your phone behind and see if the photos still show up in contacts. As for my 5G SYNC3, I've never seen photos on contacts in the display.
