This is nothing new. The same thing happened on 5G. There is a tow package available, but it never had an option for an integrated TBC. At least on 6G, you have an option to get the TBC from factory. 5G was an aftermarket install.
The thing about security, Cyper security as well, is that there are people out there that get their kicks by finding a way to break and bypass said security. Sometimes, it's just for fun, most times it's for more nefarious reasons.
Anyway, here's the link to Ford Privacy Policy so everyone can see exactly what Ford collects and shares. It's several pages, so find time to read it all. Read both parts, Ford US Privacy Policy and Connected Vehicle Policy.
It could be the 2 things that happen on the 5G.
HPFP priming, high pitch whine for a couple seconds.
Turbo waste gate cycling, more of a whir and clicking sound.
Android Auto is Google. IMO, they are more intrusive than Ford will ever be. And another thing, just about every GPS system on a phone, and probably in a car, in one way or another, has to go thru Google.
Socks with Crocs!?!?
You should be banned from the forum.
Anyway, on 5G, the only way to be 100% sure Ford isn't spying, is to pull the modem. But then you lose all functions the app offers. Everybody else on you phone will still track you.
Good to know. I didn't know that feature was possible on the 6G.
My guess is the window up is too sensitive to obstructions. It may think someone's arm or head is out the window.
Now y'all got me wondering. Were the J-Braces always an option or were they a solution to a problem that arose after people reported bed problems.
If they were always an option from day 1 delivery, that tells me Ford knew of the weak bed points and should have informed the owners that they may...
That's a Lariat with the 2.7 and FX4 package.
The ']Build and Price site shows MSRP of $52,400, plus $825 if you want the advanced tow and $495 for the spray in liner.
You'd have to look at what else is available ROW. Are they competing with full size trucks such as F150 in ROW? If not, that may be the reason other configurations, including Standard cab and Open cabs are available.
are available.
OP, you need to clarify. Is it a new Ranger, as 2024, or is it new to you because his bio says 2019 Ranger.
My guess is the bio is wrong and it really is a 2024.
If it's new, warranty and lemon laws apply.
If it's really a 2019, OP is out of pocket on repairs.
Fluids being at the correct level...
