I know both of those turn off on mine because of a light plugged into the trailer plug being it thinks there is a trailer hooked up, so possibly something to do with the trailer plug? On a side note if anyone knows how to get rid of that also...

If you pull the weather stripping off the doors you can easily push the wire into the headliner past the air bags. Only trim I had to take off was the A-pillar to run to the fuse box. If you search you tube there's a really detailed video out there on it.

There's a setting in the menu on the dash cluster to enable it. I know it works with Google maps/ android auto, can't speak for other things.

I had it happen once just a few days ago. Only modification aside from cosmetic is the auto start/stop eliminator. Going about 45 it switched from normal to rock crawl mode. First time I've had anything weird happen with the truck at all and I've had it over a year.
