Priority Codes - Set Me Straight

Have followed the discussions in regards to Priority Codes when ordering a new Ranger. At the time of ordering, I inquired what my Priority Code would be and was told "19". I stated that was on the far end of the 3-19 scale and I would like a higher Priority Number. Answer was that all orders get a "19" Priority Code.

So --- something appears to be amiss here --- was I being told a story ?

Can someone in the know set me straight on this ?

Maybe that’s true for your dealer, I dunno.

my dealer assigned my order a priority code 10. I’ve never ordered from them before, and I was ordering a low-profit XL without many options. No idea why I got that priority code

Dealers can change it at any time. They may have a standard process where all new orders get 19 and they adjust them as it sits. My dealer was the same, as they explained to me, but gave me a nine for this specific order.

The biggest question is if they ha e an allocation. If they don't, it doesn't matter the priority code. You should confirm they had a raptor allocation which is different from a standard ranger allocation. Order banks are closed as of the first of the month for raptors, so unsure when you ordered.

There are around 700 unscheduled Rangers in the system and they are currently scheduling for only raptor on October.

There is only one more month for scheduling because December is basically lost.

There is a dealer youtube channel called long McArthur Ford. Each Tuesday he has a podcast and explains all the ordering stuff.

I'd ask to talk to the sales manager and explain to.him you would like the code shifted so yours has a better chance of getting built.

Lastly, the bead lock wheel is limited availability, so if you had that option it may not get built because of that depending on how many they have.

Dealers can set a priority code anywhere from 3-19 on customer orders. How the dealer sets the priority code between those is up to them.

mine was a priority code 19 and I got it back in March, so I don't know how much the numbers matter

From what I understand, the priority code a dealership assigns is solely for their orders. In other words, it prioritizes that specific dealers builds vice the order that FoMoCo assigns their priorities on a macro level. My dealer assigned my order a “3” priority code. It just meant that my dealer was assigning me a higher priority for their allocation. Make sense?

My dealer said the same thing. All orders get 19.
I did hear that if you have been a loyal Ford purchaser (multiple vehicles) from that dealer you *MAY* get a lower priority code.

First time Ford customer, randomly walked on the lot one day and ordered mine, no prior dealings with any Ford dealership ever, was given a 9. So its very much just whatever the dealer wants.

So that begs the question ................... how do you know you actually got a certain priority number .......................... other than the dealer saying what he gave you ?

The Priority number is on the WIndow Sticker once you can access that. The truck I bought was a priority 4. My original order was a priority 9 on a dealer allocation back in March. That thing still hasn't' shipped and has been in built status for 6 weeks.

Where would that be located on the window sticker ?

that is not the priority number that is for something. The priority number will only be found on the DORA the dealer can print out for you and probably should once you have placed an order with them
