Picked up a new Ranger Raptor about a week ago and believe I have a steering issue.
Sometimes as I bank easy into a turn the steering feels like it "lets go" and theres a few inches of play at the wheel for a moment and then re-engauges. Seems intermitant. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Only have a few hundred miles on it and likely wont take it in til after break-in...

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

I have had this same issue for the last few months! I thought I was going crazy. I do not remember feeling this for the first several months I’ve owned it. I just had an alignment done, it was off, so now need to drive it and see if corrected, but it is quite intermittent.

Lane keeping also freaks you out on slick roads, when it jerks the wheel it feels very much like the front tires have lost grip due to black ice. I drove a mountain pass a week ago and was getting disturbed by it, I thought I was about to die. Turn the damn thing off for anything but clear dry roads with well marked shoulder stripes.

it's the lane assist that has that annoying behaviour. try shutting if off and see if it makes a difference

FU Lane assist. Looks like Ill be turning off Lane assist, Parking sensors, And other electronic BS I really dont need until they figure out how to make them work reliably. Im ok with that.
