Had to have my battery replaced at 25k miles, '24 XLT. Got a message about being in Low power mode or something like that, and the beloved Stop/Start stopped working. Took it in, battery replaced under warranty.

I figure wtih the delayed launch of the Ranger, the battery probably sat around for a year.......

I'm having the same problem with mine, just haven't gotten around to talking it to the dealer yet

I've already had two new batteries installed and I have 26,000 km on the odometer. All under warranty.

My 25 battery was just replaced. No messages or anything. But my Ranger wouldn’t communicate with the app for 12 days. Took it in for the airbag recall and they looked into this issue too. Mine truck has under 10k miles and it’s probably under a year old unless it was sitting on the lot for almost 3 months.

I received my Raptor in February 2023. After a few months, it repeatedly becomes impossible to activate music or similar functions while cleaning, or to use the 360-degree lighting; it's a complete failure, only starting the engine works. They always just replace the battery. No one can tell me the cause of the problem or why it occurs. At least I always get a new battery, but what happens after the warranty expires?

Any of you eliminate start stop function? If not, that could be the culprit.

I went through this on my '24 as well. They replaced the battery at 9k miles/16 months (during my curtain airbag recall) after it wasn't holding a charge. Never got bad enough to disable the app, but Auto Stop Start would never work. Went through a ton of troubleshooting to try and find a drain first (including removing my 4dtech ASS disabler) and in the end it was just a bad battery. Haven't had a problem since. The service writer also mentioned that the new battery was a new part number as there had been issues with the original (I had read there was even a battery recall on some '24s, but mine was not one of those affected).

Start-stop has nothing to do with it. The computer monitors the battery and if it gets "low", then the computer will disable the function. The real problem are the 50-100 computer modules that never shut off and draw power all the time. That and the low quality of modern batteries. If you don't drive a good distance every day to keep the battery charged then low voltage becomes a problem.

I am having issues with my battery also. 2024 XLT. 13k miles. Over the past few months I have been getting messages that some functions are shutting down to save battery. I went away for 2.5 weeks and the battery was flat dead. 2.2 volts. I jumped it and let it idle for a few but the battery did not refresh as i expected it to so I jumped it again and took it for a ride, about 30 miles at hiway speed and the battery still is only at 6 volts. While running the voltage is at 13.5 so it appears the alternator is working. I am taking it to the dealer today for the airbag recall and the 'complimentary battery check" they sent email about several months ago. I wonder if they have a bad batch of batteries? or if the single battery design and possibly an under sized alternator isn't enough to run all the accessories and tech that creates a vampire drain? Full disclosure, i work from home so the truck gets a lot of short trips rather than a longer daily commute. We'll see what the dealer says today but i think the battery is cooked.

Today I dropped my 2024 Ranger XLT 2.3 ecoboost (3300 miles) to service with the same battery issues like everyone else here.

They charged the battery and then tested it with a battery tester tool which came out green. They even wrote down to the service record I have an aftermarket dashcam which can cause this issue (it doesn't) I tried to explain I installed the dashcam recently and have had this issue for a long time and it has been getting worse week after week.

No luck, no replacement, and they now have the dashcam to use as an excuse even if my battery is totally dead in few months.

I have a dash cam and they never once mentioned it. That’s definitely a bunch of crap.

I just started getting deep sleep mode notices on my Ford mobile app. I also only drive short trips, rarely more than 25 miles, and usually less than 10 and not every day (retirement luxury) SO...I assume I should pull out the old Sears Automatic charger and set the toggle to 10Amp. Will update on this in a day or two. Hope the battery isnt a boat anchor after only a year.....

Dealer replaced my battery under warranty. I asked Service if they got a bad batch in the Rangers. His reply was they were replacing a lot of batteries in all mid size vehicles at a high rate. most of them with low mileage and under a year old. if you're under warranty I'd see the dealer sooner rather than later for a replacement
