I'd probably have picked up a maverick for my wife by now, but I have to be able to drive it for long drives, and the seats won't tilt, meaning that my left thighs can't rest on it. (yes, I'm tall.)

In most vehicles, I deal with it by tilting the seat, but the maverick seats won't, at any trim level. So I'm looking at f150, after the salesgirl at the dealer I went to told me the seats were the same. I sat in one, and also couldn't find a position (in fact, the leg room seems identical to the maverick).

I've also noticed that at least some of the 8 way f150 seats pivot from the back (as opposed to the old six way seats with separate front and back lift, or the upper f-150 10 ways)

but today, on a whim of suspicion, I checked the configurator, and see that the lariat maverick has 10 way seats, instead of 8.

So does the 10 way ranger seat tilt with separate front and back motors? or are the two extra for something else?

Am also tall 6'3 with the raptor.

Seat adjustments are up and down for the front part of the pan and back part of the pan, forward and back of the whole seat, lumber in and out, and recline.

My leg rests basically where the shfit knob is in drive and at the same height. You are not sitting above the pedals if that makes sense on how you might do on old trucks or larger vehicles. You are in a more sports car like driving position so if you have long legs your gas pedal leg is going to be bent a lot.

I drew you a sweet picture to demonstrate what i mean. Blue leg is the gas pedal, green leg is the left leg.

You know what? I vote for you to design the first 6G t-shirt for the forum. Maybe a super sweet drawing of a Raptor with the caption below saying something like, "Is this going to void my warranty?".

Edit: maybe the caption should be, "Now with more J-brace!" for the non-raptor crowd.

Bonus front logo being a sweet drawing of the seatbelt warning box of doom!

We'll compensate you for your art with an all original standard length antenna and center console cubby to replace the ones you tossed when you replaced them like the rest of us.

Thanks.

I'll need to go try one, then.

My wife wants a pickup, but what would prefer smaller than the current '98 F-150.

But supporting my thigh on long drives is an absolute must (I was in agony after driving a Miata 350 miles, and that was ten years younger ago!).

And a Lariat Ranger is a bit more than $20k less than Lariat F-150 (both of which would still need aftermarket HUD, seat massage, and power running boars).

(FWIW, I was at a chevy dealer today to get keys cut for one of my Cadillacs, and found that the 8 way seats on the Colorado [but not the 6 way] also have the front & back seat lifts). [but, also, it can come in an extended, rather than crew, cab, and also in 4x2]. {OK, and where did "4x2" come from in a vehicle with an automatic 8 or 10 speed come from???}

I did go to art school for 6 years for graphic design. Money well spent as you can see. I think the J braces should be on the corners of the logo, to support it you know. The front logo could just be the raptor steering wheel, but the center strip can be 3 pixels misaligned, a if you know you you know type situation.

On the back the back its a check list of Ranger Owner Things:
  • Did you order a ranger, then abandon the order cause you couldnt wait 4 days
  • Did your raptor rear seats come as non-raptor rear seats
  • Did you install a bug shield that voided your warranty
  • Have you complained about UAW workers installing your antenna you replaced
  • Did you buy a misaligned tonneau cover
