Hello everyone. First time poster here. I've been lurking for a few months. I placed my order on August 5th and I got the email on August 24th with the VIN and date of built of 10/23.

I got a fully loaded 4x4 Lariat with the FX4 package and spray-in bedliner. I will say that my dealer told me about the running board mandate prior to ordering so it was included on the initial submission. I don't know if that had an impact on the quick scheduling or not.

BTW...anyone know why running boards are required with the FX4 package?
Scheduling seems to be entirely random. Raptors were scheduled before regular trims and vice versa and people who ordered on day one were scheduled later than people who scheduled in June so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Then there is the strikes which could just throw literally all scheduling.

Also I don't think anyone knows about the running boards. As far as I know no reason was given for it.

Ordered on 7-26 with a build week of 10-23. No idea what the formula is for a fast turn around is. I'm a Blue 4x2 XLT high with Chrome, advanced trailering and a locker. Just posting the specs because we might have a statistician here who can parse things out. Other than the advanced trailer, my order doesn't match any of the most popular build options.

It does seem weird that fx4 needs running boards, but. maybe they're on the same boat as the FX4 drive mode switch.

Maybe go visit the dealership in person to answer all your specific concerns/questions instead of doing remotely while asking for help on an internet forum? Just a thought ?
I’ve been to the dealer in person but ya know dealers will hide whatever information they want or can from you. I’ve received an email today with the typical Ford 45 day check up but it is blank where the order ID should be I’ve asked my dealership why it’s blank and the question was dodged by them saying we received that email as well. Seems fishy, I’m waiting on a response email now to get my build sheet showing my order and name on it hopefully that will clear up some concerns I have. Honestly my biggest concern is that I don’t really have the first allocation and will be waiting a long time to receive my truck.

understood. don't feel like the Lone Ranger on long waits for our trucks- it's happening to all of us ordering every new model. I'm lucky? I guess, as I have only 1 Ford dealer in my small town, and everybody knows everybody and the dealer works off reputation and repeat business. Also clearly posting doc fees etc. and a standing policy of always MSRP on customer retail orders. Welcome to our new reality.

US Rangers have Matrix headlights. No Ford didn't spend twice on the supplier to make two variants of the Performance LED Matrix headlights. It's just simply disabled or enabled via software depending on the market. The US is establishing guidelines for them and I'm sure a software update to current models that feature them will be pushed soon. Currently they are nerfed so to speak.

you may not be able to confirm this, but it sounds like it might be something Forscan can enable for us?

Also since you sound like you know what’s going on, can you tell me what is in the headlight housing inboard of the high beam? It looks like a sensor but it might be decorative. Is this part of the matrix headlight package?

I wish I knew but I never studied that close honestly. P703 is in the past for me so I would have to go hunting freelance.

Priority code matters within your dealership. In other words, if one person has priority code 3 and one has 19 in the same dealership then 3 will get scheduled first if there is no parts constraints. However, a 3 at one dealership doesn’t trump a 19 at another dealership.

I specifically asked my salesman to make it priority code 3 when entering my order and he did so. Might be worth asking your dealer if he can change yours, just so you have top priority within your own dealership.
I placed my order for an XLT on July 5th. I was given a priority code of 19. I have yet to be scheduled. Let's say a new buyer comes into the same dealership and places an order for a Ranger and gets a priority code of 10. Considering they are placing an order almost 2 months after me, would they still get scheduled ahead of me?

Provided there are no parts delay for the new person’s order, yes they would get scheduled ahead of you.

So the numbers are out and from all the so called job 1 reports of not starting. As seen and knew a 100 or more were built, the number that is now out in the public is actually 259 units built before the strike.
