Really enjoyed the video jbethune. Looks like the kids enjoyed themselves. Thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks for sharing the video.
I have had my Ranger XLT for around 3 months now and can't wait to go do some camping much like what you have done. I've gone back and forth on whether to do a solution like you have done or to use a rooftop tent on a rack over the bed of the truck. It was nice getting to actually see what something like this looks like on the Ranger.

Hey Jbethune - thanks for sharing! I just got a 2024 Ranger XLT - and really want to get a GFC camper. I have some gear that’s pretty tall and would love to know if it’ll fit inside the truck bed, or if it’s too tall. I reached out to GFC about the clearance of the topper from the top of bed sides to the top of the opening -- they said approx 20”. If you’re able, I would be so grateful if you could let me know the measurement from the bottom of the truck bed, to the top of the opening. Photo below for reference of what I’m looking for. Thanks so much!

Hope this helps; this is up from a bed rug, not sure how much height it adds...maybe 1/4-1/2 an inch? you could also reposition the light bar and gain a slight bit of height

Duuude - thank you! This is so helpful. Your top is a V2 it looks like?

Is this 40” measurement the width seen below?

Thanks again!

V2pro. The 40 is the inner part of the angled bracket. It gets wider from there. This may be useful...

Great pics and information. I was considering GFC and similar solutions like Lone Peak. For now, I decided to install a rack and go with a rooftop tent. I'm curious if you did anything for bed reinforcement. I've seen a good deal of comments in this forum on that topic and the whole J-brace issue.
