Can you tune for overseas vehicles? I’ve been in contact with another vendor who stopped replying to my requests after I was unable to provide any emissions information. We just have that info stickers all over the engine bay or in the owners manual over here. Our emissions systems appear to be the same as US.

On HPTuners I can. COBB supports USDM only

For those who are tuned: Following instructions, I turned off automatic updates. What happens when Ford decides to send out an update? For example, my wife got a warranty notice on her Edge, but she didn't need to take any action because it was just on OTA update.

I’m GooseTuned with the HP Tuner. I’ve had 2 OTA updates come across since I’ve been tuned and had no issues. Both times I plugged the HP tuner back in after the OTA update and tried to reload the Tune file and it ended up saying the tune in the truck is the same as I was trying to upload. Soooo all good and no issues.

That is good to know. I wondered what the risk was of the update messing with the tune. But I am using the COBB Accessport.

On my trucks it'll just keep telling you that you have an update. You do NOT have to take it.

Or you can remove the tune, take the update, then put the tune back on.

NOTE: if you do remove the tune, update, and attempt to put it back the Accessport may tell you that the OS is different and can't continue. In cases like this you have to contact COBB and let them know the OS changed, they will make you a new OS.

What do you do, just never let it update? I assume a Sync update is unrelated.

I take the tune off to update if it's an important update. Then put the tune back on.

Ah, so you can see what the update is before you commit to it? I guess it will sit in the que until you decide to let it update.

Could you explain a little about your tunes?
Things like your shift points, shift firmness compared to stock or Ford Performance tune.
Does it drop gears with very little throttle or hold gears more like stock?
Intercooler shutters set to open or PCM controlled.
Do you have a base tune and it is tuned from the data logs? If so, would you want to use the worst fuel you would use or the best?
Is the tow tune just a reduced torque tune?
I'm thinking about a summer tune(intercooler shutters open) and a winter tune(shutters on Auto).

Shift pressures I usually keep around stock. I mainly change the shift schedule, or when the truck shifts. I can do either. As it sits, it's more of an OEM-plus type of feel.

I can setup shutters to open fulltime if you'd like.

It's a base map, then you log and we fine tune.

I'd recommend using the best fuel you have available.

Yes, the tow map is just less torque/power when pulling a load.

We could do that with the shutters if you want. That's easy stuff!

I can say in my opinion the Ford Procal tune seems to do little for the 2.7
I noticed a bit better shifting but that’s about all though it has 700 miles on the tune and 1400 miles on my truck.
I might opt for a better tune down the road if anything reliable with noticeable gains become available.
I mean it’s not slow but for as much power as it has I wish it was quicker.
