Ranger#5?

I laid no blame on poor sales. There's many factors at play here: 1st gen Ranger was single cab only, just like Courier before it. Same with 2nd gen- I had a 1987 & 1993. Next gen introduced SCab but still same bed size- I had a 2000 & 2006 SCab and learned to prefer them. Very little updating was done all the way until they were getting crushed by Toyota and eventually abandoned mini truck segment after what 2012 model year? Then the remaining players upsized mini or "compact" trucks into midsize and more players dropped out of US market while Honda added Ridgeline in 1 config only and unibody on top of that. NOBODY else could touch Toyota's annual numbers and Ford re-entered in 2019 with Ranger. Ford saw a market space opportunity under midsize and released Maverick- in only 1 config. I had 1 and it was okay for what it was, but was never going to be as capable as a midsize in real truck uses. I believe Ford transferred what they learned from Maverick to new Ranger as far as 1 config. How it does is anybody's guess, but I won't get too excited until they at least pass Honda, Jeep and Nissan paltry market shares.Um ford offered choices on the last gen didn't they... This is the first time limiting to the one config. So you can't really blame those poor sales on this gen. Last gen was def catered to the international market since it was not even available in the US till 2019.
