I was wondering if that was the case. Been 100 plus degrees here in northern CA. I drive mostly in eco mode but with air on.Certain things can make it not stop the engine such as having the A/C on. If similar to the bronco things like certain drives mode such as sport will turn it off all together
Took it to the dealership turned out to be the after market rat, squirrel detergent unit I attached to the battery was draining the battery enough causing it to be charging all the time. Cost me $200.00 diagnosis fee to tell that. The charging system is very sensitive to any additional draws to the system.Mine doesn't work all the time. Isn't it supposed to turn off the engine when you stop?

I am glad you found the problem, often this issue results from a bad battery, did they in fact load test it? That should be Step 1….
