2024 XLT J - Brace Question

Hey team! New here and I only recently heard about the J - Brace as I was going to put a bed cover. My build date is 9/24 and everyone is saying it may not be needed. I took a few pictures can someone help me identify if I do or do not need the J - Brace? Thank you all in advance. Also not sure if these are good photos my phone couldn’t get any better shots.

Do not need it. The rounded bend as it heads upwards indicates revised design.
