Ford released its 2025 sales figures showing some pretty strong Ranger growth:

70,960 units for the year which is +54% year over year. They didn't break out sales per trim but are saying the XL sales jumped 82% year over year, Lariat trim 24% year over year.

I'd be interested in seeing sales per trim/color/etc. Chevy does that with the corvettes and it's really neat to see how many clones of your exact car specs are out there...

Yea would love to see the sales numbers by trim level of the Ranger.

With that sort of substantial sale volume increase they might be able to catch the Colorado in 2026.

I do still think it is safe to say you can tell the Bronco demand has finally weekend and finally a decent amount of the plant's capacity has been shifted to the Ranger.

I still believe it will take bringing on a second plant to ever have a hope of catching Toyota or GM as a whole in the midsize segment.

With 70K+ units in 2025, I would say the word is finally starting to get out about how good these Rangers really are. Does give me a little pause, as seen with the Bronco once demand starts getting met, the residual values start to soften up a bit. Very likely to some effects of this with the Residuals on the Ranger once production starts to catch up with demand.

The 2025 YOY increase is not surprising considering the R6 wasnt introduced into the US market until 2024. They didn't release the Lariat 2.7 until late Q3 or early Q4. No matter - it was bound to take off. Great product! Love my Lariat 2.7. Too bad they started stripping some of the options in 25 & 26 making everyone pay extra for some of them.

It wasn’t just the Lariat 2.7. The 2.7 V6 wasn’t available in either XLT or Lariat trims until Q3 2024 - and I think that most certainly helped volume this year! I am also very happy with the 2.7 in XLT. More than capable for this truck!

I agree being that the 2.7L was a well proven engine in the F150 trucks and makes the Ranger the most powerful of all the midsize trucks, second only to the more specialty 3.0L Raptor version of the Ranger. It won't shock me to see the Ranger break the 100K mark in 2026.
