I would take adjustable front headrests over the rear window. Has anyone found adjustable headrests that fit in Rangers?
I bent the posts on mine just enough to make them comfortable. There was a thread on this forum about doing that.

I would say the rear headrest do sort of adjust now. They pop right out there and tuck neatly in the storage pocket under the rear seat. lol 😝

I did the exact same thing. When I back my boat I look out the rear window and those headrests obstructed visibility to much. If I have people in the rear seat, then I can reinstall them.

I am old enough to remember when the rear sliding window was mostly a passthrough from a bed camper to the cabin while going down the road. These were also the days when a truck could be flying down the highway with a half dozen kids in the bed with a state trouper following. These days I see very little reason to have them. I have heard they allow cabin ventilation, better trailer awareness, allows longer items to be hauled, can stick a hard wired antenna to the roof, etc. I don't see where any of these reasons have a remote chance of justifying a sliding rear window. Personally, I think its best use is to be able to pass a beer to the driver from a camper by a person who hasn't realized what will happen to them in the event a collision occurs.
Many times as a child we would use the rear slider to jump from the cabin to the bed on road trips lol. The size of the current rear slider could only fit an infant

One thing that is a pet peeve for me is that damned rear window. I want a solid window!
I have to buy a lower trim to get that? I tolerate the stupid useless thing. I rarely see one open so why is it forced on everyone?
There's a "cost savings" right there. Get rid of the slider . . . somehow. I've had it for 6 years and don't even know if it opens. ; )
If I'm not mistaken, I think on the Tundra the whole damn rear window rolls down.

The Order Guide for the 2027 Ranger has been released to dealers. The most notable item is no Tremor for North America.
Bummer, I wonder if the narrow gap between the Lariat and Raptor made it too difficult to slot in price-wise. I figured they'd just raise the price of the Raptor to give the Tremor room (car companies doing what car companies do) but I don't know if the RR sells well at $70k.

I wonder if the Tremor models might be a package onto an XLT or Lariat like the fifth gen Rangers, because it clearly seemed like they were testing it. The sidesteps seem like they came from the fifth gen Ranger. so it could be packaged very similarly.

This is what I read in a few threads here recently, I wouldnt count out the tremor just cause its not in the order bank right now. I also saw it may pop up a little later on the year

A small lift and accessory package wouldn’t tempt me anyway without full time 4WD like the Australian Tremor.

Back to setting aside a few extra bucks for a RR.

Any info on the 2.7 vs 3.0 engines?
Yes, the 3.0 replaces the 2.7 like what happened in the F-150 and Bronco. I don't know the HP and torque figures but I think it is safe to assume it will be similar to the F-150 (de-rated more than the Bronco for truck duty).

Makes sense. Safe bet is that in the non-raptors the 3.0L will be similar or identical to the F-150 tune.

That might be the case. Or Ford may delay it until the Ranger replacement comes out in the 2029/2030 time frame. I could see Ford doing that since it would only have a couple model years in the current gen and NA sales are relatively small compared to ROW. I suspect this may also be the case with a Ranger hybrid.
