Took a trip up into the NY North Country to help out with a collegiate off-road race and spent an extra day and night up in the Adirondacks testing out my current camping setup. The mountains weren't at peak color yet, but still awful nice

Then I headed down and played with the Rock Crawl Mode I added with Forscan

And after a bit of dirt road driving I took a nice hike up Mt Arab to its fire tower before grabbing breakfast in Tupper Lake and heading back to OH

thats awesome.

it would be such a long drive for me to get anywhere like that. that is states of driving from the bottom of texas. i see the temps are nice where you are at now so its not horrible camping. its still almost 80 at night here with 70% humidity so sleeping would be rough in a tent.

Fantastic. I spent a few days riding motorcycles around Lake George and that whole area. What a beautiful part of the country. Excellent looking camping setup!

Super nice pics. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have my setup on hold for the moment, everything in place save the rooftop tent. I also have a '24 XLT, but with the smaller engine. I was curious if you did anything to support the additional weight with a j-brace. There are several threads on that topic within this forum, and I was just curious.

I did install the Ford braces on my bed before I put the tent and awning on top. The verbiage from Ford on when they're needed is a bit vague (I'm sure intentionally) and I wasn't willing to risk damage that they could wash their hands of.

Nice set up! Especially for avoiding critters. I take it you don't sleepwalk?

I'm pretty happy with it so far, although I wish I had the tent that was 1 size larger.

The RTT definitely helps with critters and really wet ground, but I also race cars and when I'm in a sea of asphalt it's nice to be up off the hard hot/cold ground.

Definitely not a sleepwalker
