I’m not sure if you have a Raptor, but I 3d printed fillers for the holes in the side steps. I also sanded, primered and painted them.

I might look into printing shims to fill the void on the bed rail trim pieces. I’m wanting to mount a Yakima Overhaul HD bed rack system.

The whole J-brace debacle is only half the problem with bed with a hollow trim piece on both bed rails. Talk about a shitty design!!! Why that trim piece isn’t a solid bearing surface at least in the 4 corners of the bed to allow mounting points is beyond me.

Crazy to own a truck that you can’t buy a standard bed rail rack system because trim pieces would crush under load. The only compromise is adding a cover and track system with it, adding cost, weight and loosing flexibility of bed use. I’m actually pissed and almost regretting my recent purchase and my ‘25 RR doesn’t even have 500 miles on it. I caved on not having a 6’ bed, but thought a bed rack system will cover my needs for carrying paddle boards and kayaks. Problem fixed….Wrong!

Need my hitch for carrying mtn bikes, so hitch options for paddlesport equipment isn’t an option either.

This is what I’m shooting for with my ‘25 RR though without the rooftop tent and kayak and paddle boards instead…

I’ve seen this.

american adventure lab will get there

honestly I’m not entirely sure why the Yakima and similarly wouldn’t work if you put hard spacers in the stake pockets. Especially if you have the cross brace panel on the side.

Be aware that you can’t use normal PLA filament for truck parts, it will not withstand UV exposure, water or high heat inside the cab - it will definitely deform or droop over 120 degrees F. ABS is more suitable, your printer may not be able to handle the high temperature requirements. What printer did you get? Do you know anything about the subject?

What’s your printing company name on Etsy if you have one?

I've been meaning to pick up a 3D scanner to get some hi res scans and design some things. Only reason I haven't got my own 3D printer yet is the 12 printers we have at work, so I play around with those all the time. I'll get one sooner than later.

It's just a matter of time before 3D printers become just another household appliance. I can't wait! 😀

As a beginner you should 100% concentrate on making lots of stuff for your family with PLA, I have a fully sealed and insulated P1S and I like it a lot. I do recommend the Bambu filaments, your printer is tuned for them, buy the filament on sale and in bulk direct from Bambu and KEEP THE PLASTIC SPOOLS AND RF ID TAGS. You will need them for the cheaper refills and don’t use other brands if you plan to buy a Bambu AMS to do multicolors.

ABS will work but it warps, shrinks and it creates troublesome fumes. You need HEPA filtration and a way to keep the stink in the enclosure, or else use your printer in an open shed (impractical in Canada)!

There is a very steep learning curve, get a friend or 3D print shop to help you get over the initial hurdles.

I have found that many of the posted 3D files are garbage, even ones that cost $10. Be very suspicious and do learn how to tune your settings to get better results. Otherwise you will be frustrated and that leads to people quitting the hobby.

Thank you. Appreciate the insight

In other threads I've seen people looking for solutions for running 12V power into 2025 Ranger beds in addition to the 110V outlet from the factory.

If I understand what I've read, there is actually a DC circuit in the same wiring bundle as the AC but one needs this part that is discontinued from Ford, Panel High Voltage Power Soc - Ford (N1WZ-19A464-BR) .

Well this creator made a 3D printed a cover that has a lot more potential than Fords. I'll still have to craft a wiring harness but this solves a big part of the problem.

From left to right on the panel:

#1 I think the left-most is likely a button that turns all the DC on and off but that is the only one I'm not 100% of.

#2 Slot - AC

#3 Top Slot - Voltage Meter

#3 Bottom Slot - 12V "cigarette lighter"

#4 Slots - Anderson Powerpole connectors for DC current

He has made his printable files available for free. You can print them on your 3D printer or pay someone to do it for you. One could also modify the files to put their own outlets on it. He calls the "bed" a "tub" so I'm thinking it is one of our Australian Ranger brothers that made it. The SB50 connectors on the right might might be more common there. I'd probably swap them for Anderson Powerpoles for an HF ham radio or something or USB C or solar.

This looks good. I'm going to do the same. I got in the mud last weekend and was amazed by the laser focused spray that blasted through that little hole in the board!

I don’t have a 3D Printer so that’s why I was asking. I can probably find some to print though

Shoot me a DM. I plan on printing one for myself, so I might be able to print one for you too. I'm planning on using PETG CF plastic, since I have an open bed printer.
