4D Tech Start / Stop Eliminator installed on 2025 XLT

I didn't even snap any pics while I did this install, because it took all of about 18 seconds.

I ordered the Start/Stop Eliminator from 4D Tech on Thursday, it got delivered via USPS this afternoon. Instructions were super clear (there's also a bazillion YouTube videos and posts on this forum). Dropping the glove box was super simple. Unplugging the existing cable was easy as pie. Plugged in the Eliminator, replaced the glove box, and BOOM - never have to press that stupid button again! (Well, I had to press it once to disable Start/Stop, but now it remembers that I hate that feature.)

10/10 would recommend!

Would've been my first if the shipping had been any faster! I've hated this "feature" for years on my wife's 2021 Explorer and it never occurred to me to find a way to stop it, I just grumbled when I had to drive her car. Couple of hours with my truck and I was like nope... This isn't gonna work for me.

I installed the 4D Tech Auto Start Stop Eliminator in my 2025 Lariat and in my son's 2025 STX. 100% worth the money. I will say on my Lariat disconnecting the cable from the module was easy on my son's STX it was a pain - I had the hardest time disconnecting the connector on the wiring harness.

just for info, my son and i used the 40 dollar amazon version and have had zero issues. 23k miles on mine and my son had 25k when he traded to his 26 ranger lariat and it moved to the new truck

Dumb question here. Do you have to disconnect it when you take your truck in for computer work?

i have not taken it off when taking the truck in for anything. but i also have not changed the forscan settings back to stock.

one of the ford guys told me to use forscan to make some changes one time i had my truck in for an alignment because we were talking about heated seats and interior related things.
