I just received my Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2023 (MY2022 Oct)
Absolutely in love with this thing.. as is everyone else around me

I however have 2 problems of which the dealer is wholly incompetent to fix.
Problems being:
1. The Ambient Light Sensor does not seem to work/react. Reading live data from FORScan shows the sensor readout as "Very Dark" at all times. Regardless if I shine a flashlight on it or if the sun is out in full force.
This means my center console screen and dash screen are in dim mode or night mode. As they are meant to be if it is dark out.
I cannot see anything on either one of the screens when driving during the day. I have to switch from the default auto setting for the headlights to the off setting (only DRL) every time I get into the car to be able to see how fast I'm going.
I have resorted to changing the default behaviour of the light switch to "Last Known" in FORScan. I now have fully manual lights
Has anyone had this issue with the next gen rangers or even a previous generation? I reckon it's something simple like it not being plugged in or something.. any advice would be appreciated!
2. I have bought the car as new (220km Odo) from a dealer that imports from Thailand. So this is a Thai spec. Because I would have had to wait 6 months + from Ford.. however, the FordPass /FordSync system for remote start and remote diagnostics seems to either have been activated by someone else already or non functional in my country.
The FordPass app says "Modem is Active"
Master reset sync reset or request access. None of which work.
I have connected the car to my house WiFi and redone the same master reset procedures multiple times but Nada.. i cannot register the vehicle to my Ford account / FordPass app.
Is there a way to figure out if it actually has been registered before or if there is something else wrong either in the car, Fords backend or with the dealings of the dealer.. ?
Thanks in advance. The Ranger5G forum and this one have been immensely helpful throughout my Ford vehicle ownership.
