Anyone else get bad knock sensors?

About 4200 miles on a 2.7 and I have a code p0330 for knock sensor electrical error. Has anyone else had this happen? Some other forums seem to think these engines like to eat knock sensors due to poor location in the valley. (And apparently no waterproofing...)

Now I get to leave my car at the dealer for warranty work while they don't have loaner cars and only will cover $40 for a rental. Some warranty, you still end up money out of pocket for their bad design...

Could be wiring related - either warranty issue or a rodent chewing on the harness.

I had a rodent get in the engine bay and chew on the wiring including a knock sensor. The replacement sensor died within a couple days. Luckily they had it fixed with in the week.
