My horses like to run free and get very thirsty. Anyone with at least 5000 miles average worse than or similar to 14.3 MPG?

Mine tanked due to frigid cold. Before weather dropped the average was 20 hand calc. This weather is 16.
it could be watered down gas in the crooked country I live in. Not sure

I thought the mileage would be better. Mine is a '24 XLT 2.3. With 2100 km behind me my combined is around between 13.0 and 13.5 liters /100km. Average trip speed has been around 23 km/h. Still a whole lot better than my old 2000 F-150 4.6.

Could be some water in the gas. I have a friend here in FL who has a RR with an FP Tune. After hurricane Milton, they got gas and headed to Bradenton's Thursday night drags. The truck was running ET's half a second slower than stock. They switched to the stock tune, and it was 2 seconds slower. They connected the FP tuner to check boost thinking it may be a boost leak. Where the truck would normally be upwards of 22psi with the tune, it was only hitting 15psi. The tank was around a 1/4 so they filled up with 93 from another station. Drove for a few miles and did some pulls just to make sure it wasn't gas related. Sure was, boost was back to normal. Unknown if there was water in the gas or if the truck dumped 87 in the 93 tank. I now keep a much closer eye on my boost!

I have a 2024 Lariet 2X with a little over 5000 mi on it and 1 oil change. .Now running full synthetic. I drive 80 to 90% city stop/go and the rest highway in So Cal. I avg 14.8 mpg. If Im careful and stay under the turbo threshold I get 16 mpg. I did one 600 mi trip on mostly highway and got 20 mpg. I like the truck a lot! But am definitely disappointed with the mpg... I'm not very good a staying under the threshold LOL So 14.8 it is!

Had this exact thought as I was driving home last night on a 2 hr trip. On screen calc showed 20MPG. I changed to the Eco mode the second hour of the trip and it increased to 21.5. I'm not sure what the actual is, but in experience the on screen shows higher MPG than reality. I was purposely trying to drive efficiently, though did keep cruise control most of the time, which I know tugs at the MPG. This is on regular gas (lariat 4x4 in 2x drive, 11000 miles on it). These are better numbers than other posts, but still well under advertised 24mpg on highway.

I have the tune and can't help myself from getting into boost when I accelerate. I'm averaging 14.5, with roughly 60% city driving. I am around 8500 miles and run 91 Costco gas here in Colorado.
