Maybe look into up dates?
My truck always says "no update available"
I didn't know maybe I should wait to see if it finds updates.
I can't seem to use voice control to make climate adjustments.

This says Sync3 but might work with Sync4a?

mine says no updates also. i look pretty regularly to see if anythign is available

Next time I'm going to let it stay open for a bit and see if anything populates like it did on the video
I have been checking and moving on quickly when it says nothing available.

My STX is in the same boat. I can't control my usb stick like play certain music or call without it searching on Google. I can't even switch to radio with the hands free. Has there been any updates in your situation?

Ford Assistant is a feature that is included with the Ford Digital Experience and may not be available on the 2025 Ranger base model. To use the voice-activated features, you must have the Ford Connectivity Package, which is included for one year with new vehicle purchases and is available for an additional subscription or one-time purchase. If your vehicle's software is up to date and the package is active, you can enable Ford Assistant by going to Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features and toggling the feature on.


To enable Ford Assistant

1. From your vehicle's SYNC screen, tap Settings.
2. Select Connectivity.
3. Choose Connected Vehicle Features.
4. Toggle the Ford Assistant slider to enable it.

If you still don't see Ford Assistant

• Check the Connectivity Package: Ford Assistant is a part of the Ford Digital Experience. Confirm if your base model came with the Connectivity Package, which is available as a one-year trial and can be purchased afterward.
• Update your SYNC system: Ensure your SYNC system has the latest software by using your VIN on the Ford website, says Ford Canada.
• Check FordPass App: Make sure you are logged in to the FordPass app with the correct account associated with your vehicle.

I just made my exact build and it says for the STX it does have advance voice recognition with sync 4A. I think they missed the program in my truck. If I press once nothing comes on the screen. If I hold it down, the Google assistant populates.

i don't have that connectivity package so maybe i don't have it and mine was just connecting to my phone or something?

i remembered this thread on the way to work and said hey google and the truck answered. so i unpaired my phone and tried saying hey google with no reply. so i hit the button on the steering wheel and got nothing, also.

I can control any music on my USB stick. I have to scroll to find the song. Isn't this a safety issue?
