Wow, I'm in California and a dealer just quoted me $4495 for 7y/100k miles PremiumCARE. Which seems... insane.

I just checked on Granger and that plan is just $2,055 in PA. I don't see CA as an option, might want to give them a call. The dealer will make more than $2,500 off you. That's horrible to do to a customer.

Thanks. Yea I reached out to Granger, apparently California passed a law a couple years ago that prevents them from offering these plans in California, dealers only. I wonder what the effect of this has been? I’m sure great for consumers

I have heard the California car dealer lobby is one of the strongest, another win for money in politics

Ford is moving up their annual price increase on their Extended Warranties to April 1st. Prices will increase double digit percentage points starting on April 1st!

This happens once a year!!!

So what's the deal, is Ford upping the price of Protect once a year or twice a year now?

Wrong. Granger does not sell third-party warranties; As an official Ford dealer, Granger ensures all extended warranties are backed by Ford...these are factory plans. I even used my Ford points to get a considerable discount on the plan direct from Ford.

I wanted to second this for emphasis. I purchased my 7 year through Granger, it immediately showed in Fords system the next day (I was there for an oil change). It even showed as a Ford points tier activity. Totally legit and factory warranty.

Not sure if this is worth an argument. You can believe what you want to.

But, Granger, Flood, and Ziegler sell genuine Ford ESP warranties. Same as you would get from your local Ford dealer.
