I think you might be right. After putting the 2 side by side. WOW the color does look a lot better to me on the Raptor... By a lot. I think all that black trim and stickers makes it look less baby blue and more gray, kinda.
I'll still need to see one in person.
One of the local dealers had an azure Raptor with no graphics and it looked bland to me.
But there's an old guy around here that has an azure XLT that had some dark blue and red striping added to his truck. I'm not much into old man graphics but the other colors actually added some pop to the azure.

So Azure is a color I think that needs the right trim and accessories to balance it out. On RR it fits nicely with the black plastic trim accents. Same on the F150 Raptor and Raptor R.

I’ve seen it on other trucks at the dealer and I don’t think those do it any justice because of the ratios and trim. When you start mixing chrome trim with painted bumpers on F150s it looks strange.

In the summer it’s a deeply metallic blue which looks amazing in person. In winter unlike black and white it doesn’t constantly look dirty. At night it looks almost midnight blue.

I ordered my Lariat in Azure with the intention to customize it to balance it out. I think also if I ordered the same white, black, grey that everyone else drives already I would regret it later but to each their own. Everything’s subjective.
100% agree on the Azure on the Raptors. I love it in Azure.
