Bed extender from 5g work in 6g?

Anyone know what it would take to make the Ford branded bed extender from my 2020 work in my 24? They have diff part numbers and claim to not interchange. What are the differences?
My 20 was totaled but I still have the bed extender. Got a 24 and want to try to find hardware and make it work.

I believe G6 is wider

I’ve had both, the G5 mounting bracket holes are higher than the G6. I didn‘t like the ‘V’ shaped G5 extender, so I bought an aftermarket ’U’ shaped extender on Amazon and made my own bracket. I posted a thread on what I did on this forum.

If I had I any mounting hardware I would have. I assume the harder is going to have to be made or modified and it’s not easy to find. So wondering if someone else has conquered this.
