Has anyone hooked up an aftermarket bed lights kit using the method in the LUMEN kit? I am looking for lights that are on/off when the cargo lights are on/off but I want more lights than the FORD kit provides. This looks fairly easy to do, just have to source a couple plugs (C & D) and figure out what (E & F) are.

I just skimmed through the instructions posted in a different bed light thread.
E & F look to be end caps for the light mount, so not needed for a complete diy solution.

I went through the instructions
VR1WZ_13E754_A_BedLight_Ranger.pdf

Step 35, C & D connect to each other, not to existing wire harness on the Ranger.
You can use any 2 terminal weather proof connectors.

I've used these on my Bronco for all the upfitter wires under the hood. Includes "fancy" single action crimper (wire and seal).

Thanks, I get that they plug into each other, what I guess I am missing is the next step. I “think” you take pin out of the block and put the lead from C into the block. i will check the link you sent.

Yeah, the instructions are hard to decipher. Might as well be written in Cuneiform.

I stared a bit longer, and I think the light's positive connector is connected to pin 26 under the dash, and that's it. I didn't realize there are 2 sets of the C&D connector. 1 is to connect the two light harnesses, the other is to connect the positive of the long harness running to the front to the pin 26 under the dash.

That's not correct. It looks like 3 wires end up under the hood, and 1 of those wires (A2) goes to pin 26. Maybe pin 26 is a trigger voltage and the lights' power is connected???

Ok, I take that back. I can only find 2 connections to the car.
1 looks like a ground:

The other goes to pin 26 and must be positive voltage:

Okay, I am getting close, thanks. I need to make a jumper to go from the white/green to 26. Any idea what the pin looks like? Trying to avoid taking it apart to look. Putting it together to go get one and then taking it apart again.
I looked at the local parts places and didn’t see anything.

I have never looked at that part, but that won't stop me from speculating ;) (hope that's enough of a disclaimer)

Judging by the picture in the instructions with the included flat head screwdriver, I would guess it's tinned bare wire pushed into a socket with a small set screw.
Seems strange to have a hobbyist type pin board in a car, but that's what it looks like from the instruction sheet. ?‍♂
