Final report.....first drive with the new Borla exhaust.
To say I'm pleased is an understatement. At first start up, there is a distinct difference that says "this truck has a bit of an attitude." Driving 2 miles down my dirt road before the highway gave way to just an unmistakable subtle sound of performance as I tooled along at 25mph. Once on the highway, I stomped on it and didn't let up for a while....just because I wanted to hear if it growled.....and it did. What a pleasant sound it made. Once settling into the speed limit, there was NO mundane drone at all. Just a smooth sound of quality and difference from the rest of traffic. Just what the doctor ordered!!!!
Note that when y'all install your own system and do a leak check, there are 2 small holes at the bottom seam of the muffler Dead center) on both sides that are there for moisture drainage (I suspect). The system has no leaks and fits like a glove. I am a happy camper.
In the end, does it have the same bark as my Shelby, GMC Jimmy, or my Mustang.....no. But then again my Ranger doesn't have headers, superchargers, cam shafts, etc......just what Ford put into a V6 dual turbo. I am happy with both my choice of truck and aftermarket exhaust.
