Cargo bed lighting dilemma. 2026 XLT.

2026 XLT did not come with bed lights. Purchased OEM LED bed lights, easy installation. Replaced headlight switch cluster with OEM one that has button for cargo light. Used ForSCAN to enable bed light, BUT STILL NO LIGHT! What am I missing?

was there an option for them to come on with the cargo lights? My 25 xlt came with them, even without the convenience package, apparently 24 and 25 canadian xlts came standard with them according to ford pro canada.

But like when I added the heated .irror glass to my truck, I had to go into each door module to tell it it had heated mirrors, then I had to go into the hvac module to enable them with the rear defrost.

maybe theres another module you have to go in. might have to enable zone light control? 2 zone if its not in forscan for it already, I see mine has 2 zone enabled, and when I add the puddle lights later, ill have to tell each door module it now has puddle lights, and then change to 4 zone zone lighting

We’ve (my tech savvy son and I) done about everything in FORScan we can find with no results. My 2026 XLT did not come with a standard 400w power panel and AC outlet, integrated box side step, power folding mirrors, or wireless charging pad. I’m jealous! Our conclusion is the BCM module that communicates with the cargo lights has been deleted.
I need to go back and investigate the two zone and 4 zone aspects you brought up. Thank you for the reply.
