So my 25 XLT did not come with a cargo light switch on the headlight switch assembly. I was wondering if it was possible to add the switch to it or does a new assembly have to be purchased like this one? Will there need to be any additional wiring done to make the harness work or is it just missing the switch? Any programming necessary either?

if I thinks on it later I wake up(just getting off nightshift), Ill pop my switch out and see how many wires are in the plug, if say I have 8 wires, and you have 6, it probably wont work.

Pretty sure it's the same harness and it's a matter of activating stuff through forscan.

I’m pretty sure that you’ll have to buy the whole assembly, unless you want to do some trimming for an upfitter switch. I’ve kicked the idea around myself, not for the cargo light though. I thought it’d be a handy spot for an upfitter switch for a set of ditch lights.
