CarPlay issues - randomly loses sound

Has anyone had issues with CarPlay? It randomly loses sound. It will show that Pandora (or whatever else) is playing but no sound. It will usually correct itself when I turn off the truck and restart, but this isn't always convenient. Am I missing something I should be doing?

My CarPlay just doesn't connect at all every so often. Mentioned it to the dealer and they just shrugged their heads. Said try unpairing, restarting iPhone etc but had no other suggestions.

Happens once in a while. I just disconnect my phone from CarPlay on the truck touchscreen under phone settings. Then reconnect. Always works.

Yes, same here, but my main point is that we should not have to reconnect so frequently. It's a small to medium-sized issue, but one none-the-less...

Also have this issue on my RR. Restarting CarPlay resolves it but annoying.

Is there a fix coming for this @Ford Motor Company ?

I don't know that the issue with dropping audio in CarPlay is isolated to Ford. I've had very similar issue with CarPlay in my BMW and other rental cars. And it was worse with my iPhone XR than it is with my 15 Pro. I most often notice it when Waze or Google maps voice directions stop. Google maps sometimes has a buzzing sound instead of voice instructions.

@MidnightBlue yes! My question as well. This should be something that can be fixed with a software update IMHO. Come on @Ford Motor Company let's have a fix on this issue with car play issue.
