Carplay disconnecting issues resolved?

I was having major Carplay disconnection issues whenever I drove by certain parts of the freeway/city. It always happened in the same places every time and I would lose audio and maps temporarily. Sometimes, it would kick me off Carplay entirely. It has been getting worse and happening in more places recently, to the point I've considered not using Carplay anymore.

This last Ranger software update said it updated the internal network system of the Ranger and the user wouldn't notice any changes. Ever since it updated, my Carplay problems have either gone away or substantially got better. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming the cause was outside 2.4ghz or 5ghz interference (whatever Carplay uses to communicate). I'm wondering if the update changed the wireless channels to have less interference from outside noise.

Anyway, I was curious if others have noticed this or I'm just going crazy?

i don't have apple but i am glad yours got fixed. my kids have apple and my oldest son never mentioned issues on his 24 ranger or his new 26 ranger.

I have noticed the same thing. I don't think I have had an issue with CarPlay since the last update. Before, CarPlay froze up or disconnected frequently
.

I periodically have some sort of issue with CarPlay…..I typically fix it by yelling at it

the other morning, I was using Waze and the screen was fogged out but the text part at the top of the screen was still giving accurate directions

both my Raptor and my Genesis GV70 have trouble connecting with the phone we want when both my wife and I are in the same car. We, also, both have CarPlay

We have a Hyundai which is probably the same infotainment as a Genesis. I resolved the multiple phones thing by each of us having our own profile and connecting only 1 phone on each profile.

I have a 25 Lariat, same issue with Android Auto. Oddly my streaming will play (Amazon music) when the dash shows AA isn't connected or won't connect. I know the music will use BT automatically. The update didn't change it for me.
I go in for my 10k service first week in May. I may have them reset the flash. Just start new again. The are doing the recall stuff anyway.
