yeah half of me is wondering if I went to the right place, but it was a recommendation from a friend— they’re well known in the BMW community here in queens and have done countless AWE systems, albeit mostly german cars. It's difficult to say if it's user error or product issue. I've taken my exhaust on and off at least..50 times if not more. If you don't have the valves seated perfectly, pins, springs, even the flap if you can reach it on some systems. Also most of the time I get a cel just from unplugging them. Clearing the code doesn't help. You can drain the battery, do the calibration on them, or after so many key cycles cel goes away and starts working again. I'd say most of us at one time or another have had one of our modes not work then start working again.
If an exhaust valve cel code is gonna freak you out this much, you don't need to do anything else to the truck. These are still new platforms for us. I'd be more concerned with the shop bouncing off his rev limiter than the cel.
