With wireless tech what it is these days (including wi-fi, bluetooth, etc), does the aftermarket ECU (with "less security" as you said) present any security risks from that standpoint?
I never thought about that, but that's a really good question.

Oh, not you at all, man. Just two trolls with superiority complexes who magically appear in thread after thread, being condescending and dumb, and don't abide by generally accepted social norms like the rest of us.

Thank you for the answers! That is helpful to understand. With wireless tech what it is these days (including wi-fi, bluetooth, etc), does the aftermarket ECU (with "less security" as you said) present any security risks from that standpoint? Of people being able to more easily unlock my vehicle or anything like that? These might be dumb questions (which I'm fine with, lol) but I am new to all of this.

Gotcha! I don't have that kind of time anymore haha.

You're welcome man! No, not at all. This requires a 'hands-on' unlock. It presents no wireless tampering. These same ECUs have been used by Ford for several years. They are no different in that regard.

Great question man! I don't think of things like that, but it's good to know that people have those sorts of questions!

Cool. Thank you, sir!

Wow this thread is something else! I was bidirectionally blocked by RangerHobbit almost a year ago for liking a post he disagreed with, so can't see his nonsense... and of course AlpineBike is in the mix too!

Goosetuned - I'm not ready for a custom tune yet, (would want a full TBE with downpipes I find acceptable), but when I am... you will be my first choice, and I may just come down to your facility for a custom dyno tune. Your track record and reputation that backs up your work is impressive, and you've put up with the worst of this community quite well. Hats off to you good sir!

I've been a part of a lot of forums and I have to be honest, there are a surprising number of entitled jackasses on this forum. Being a customer doesn't give you a green light to be a prick or act like a business owner owes you answers beyond a reasonable request.

No one owes you anything. Not business owners. Not other members. No one.

Buy a product or don't.

Anyone in the automotive industry is dealing with tight margins. Especially in the niche area of off-road performance trucks. If the product doesn't work or the business is shady, they simply won't last more than a few years. Do your research and make your choice.

He just blocked me as well, I'm 100% ok saving that time that would've otherwise been wasted.

Oh thank you, I really appreciate that!! That means a lot! Thank you!

I'll be here if you need anything or have any questions!

Thank you for the support!

Side with a liar is a strong statement. What I want to see are details. The first few posts by others have only partial info, and omitsome stuff that makes them look like shill posts. Your website shows your results, but no info about the truck you put it on. In fact, you said yourself here it's not a RR you tuned but actually a BR that achieved those results. Umm, that's a big red flag right there.

No offense man, but I don't know you or most of the folks here from Adam. When someone posts numbers for something without any real accompanying info my inner skeptic kicks in. And when you, the owner, admits it wasn't even on the truck we have but a similar vehicle, what the hell is someone supposed to think?

So how about we answer some questions. Did the bronco have any aftermarket components installed? What was the prep for the dyno (ice the IC), weather, and correction applied? What kind of dyno are you using? What gear was the truck in for the pull? What does bad 91 mean? It's either 91 octane or it isn't.

Do you have videos of the pulls? Did you install an FRPP tune to see what it did before your tune? What was the time between tune and dyno to allow for the truck to relearn its adaptive strategies? What's the injector duty cycle after your tune?

What did you change for the transmission strategies? How does this tune affect towing and other drive modes?

This is the kind of info a tuner should have readily available to post.

Wow you have a lot of questions. Would think an email to him regarding these questions would be in order more so than requesting the info here.
Not sure how many engineers are on this thread that could interpret the information you asked for so again a email request is probably a better way to get your questions answered. I'm sure he can provide you with videos of dyno pulls, charts of torque and horsepower curves with comparisons to stock and FP tune. Humidity, altitude, temperature, brand of fuel, specific gravity of fuel, list of mods to vehicle, odometer reading of vehicle, brand of dyno, model number of dyno and software revision of software, dyno type hub or wheel, repeatability of pulls, max boost on each pull, etc.
I am sure given a thoughtful request he will provide your requested information.
I wouldn't expect to have all this to be answered in this forum because very few here would understand the water grains in the atmosphere and how it affects max horsepower, let alone differences in HP reading from different dyno manufacturers.

I was trying to figure out who else was arguing, I forgot when I’m blocked by RangerHobbit his posts disappear so it was a mystery! I think it’s been nearly a year since he blocked me. His ideas were entertaining to say the least!
