Hi hoping someone might have done something like this already. Has anyone found a wire in or near the bed that gets a constant 12V. I'm looking to add lights to the bed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Raptor has a pigtail back there already. It's close to the trailer wires/plug in.

Thank you. Those are connected to the Aux switches and are being used and are not always on. Was looking for something else.

You could always plug it into the 7 pin trailer wire at it should have a constant 12 volt source.

Not 100% sure but that is usually used to charge a battery in a trailer when you are driving. I know that's what I used on previous vehicles.

I finally checked , the hitch only has power when the key is on. I ended up running a power wire to the battery.

be careful with that as the system may senses you have a trailer attached. why do not you simply route a proper wire to the battery?also, light in the bed, always on??

Read the post above . I already installed a fused wire to the battery. And the light has a switch on it. It also times out after 15 minutes if you forget to shut it off.

You know there are already lights in the bed, right?
I know. They are dim and you have to turn them on in the cab. I installed led lights nice and neat. Installed with constant power to the bed on a switch that shuts off automatically in 15 minutes if you forget to turn it off.

What kind of switch that will automatically shut off after 15 minutes?

Did you tap directly to the battery, or did you find a spot in the fuse box to use? Seems like it'd be neater in the fuse box, but not sure how to go about doing that, so just curious what you did.
