Impressive! I have a .308 that’s capable of 800 meters, but only have about half of that at our farm.

We can shoot out to and over 2200 yards at the range.

Spent the better part of the morning, setting up the scope, leveling and zeroing with the Alley collimator. Most times after zeroing with the Sweany Site-A-Line, it will be dead on shooting at 200 yards.

Need to find another one for back up. They're the only military grade collimator. Gentlemen who invented and manufactured them is no longer alive. They used them for 50 cal calibration and zeroing.

Picked up another Keltec RFB, 24” 308. Have the Leupold 6-24 X 52 on the way, with a BR Enterprise monopod. Added a Keltec; Muzzle brake, lower Pictionary rail for Harris Bipod and oversized charging handle already.

I need to get out more. Today was only my third time out this year. Tikka T1x in a KRG Bravo chassis, Vortex Diamondback Tactical and Harris bipod. My best with Lapua was .896 and .589 with Eley at 100 yards. Rifle is more than capable of consistent sub MOA, but I'm not. Total average groups were 1.39 and 1.36 Like I said I really need to get to the range more often.

Interesting, I would have expected better of the Lapua than the Eley. That being said, could have been that lot. Keep at it!

Normally they are. I think it was a bad lot. The first 50 or so rounds were quite good, then I opened a new box and they were all over the place. I even had 1 round that was so weak it sounded more like a 22 Short, it never even made it on paper it was so bad.

No, I don't. I don't compete and I'm not that much into precision shooting. I just like to go to the range see what I can do, and keep my skills up to speed. If I was so obsessed with accuracy I wouldn't have this. Doesn't look much like a Mini 14 but it is. That's an aluminum stock mad by a company called Bearded Dragon Tactical. As you probably know Mini 14s are 3-4 MOA on a good day, but they are a blast to shoot.

I like to shoot as well. We have an IDPA match at my club once a month and I try to make it each time. Farm work gets in the way often enough though. My carry sidearm is currently a H&K VP9. I have several 9mm pistols, a 1911 .45, a couple of .22 pistols, couple of revolvers, some .22 rifles, a few SBRs in 300blk and 5.56, a few hunting rifles including a new Marlin 30-30 which suppressed is really a hoot, several shotguns. I go shoot sporting clays at the club as often as I can sneak away, average about once a month.
I bult a pistol range on my property for ease and convenience, but I can't seem to get out there as much as I want.

Try to get out once a week at my private range. Distances are close up to 1,300 yards. I have a variety of weapons (9mm handguns, 300 blkout, Tavor, DDMK18 SBR, 6.5 Creedmoor, Radian Mod 1 14.5) I shoot mostly suppressed. Was looking to get into 6 ARC, but that's on the back burner after I bought the RR lol

That wasn't included in the bill sent to the Senate unfortunately. I'm hoping they are able to keep the part about taking suppressors off the NFA stays in (while in the senate) though.

I'm probably going to take this out for a spin in the near future.

It's a USFA single action Army chambered in .45 Colt. It's finished and case hardened by Turnbull, and features those rad Bar S "Tru Ivory" grips.

I need to see about my performance, as some injuries have come back to bite me and I'm not as steady as I should be. Nothing better than rudimentary sights and a 7.5" barrel to re-train stability.

I do mean to take a good picture of this eventually.

I might take the Sig out, as well. I know, I know. Keep it disassembled until I get to the range. LMAO

used to try and go once or twice a month but the city forced out the outdoor range near me by putting a school right next to it and forcing the guy to close down his family business they had since the 80s. this was 2 years ago. next closest is in the middle of town and is an indoor range. i have checked it out but i am just not comfortable inside it with everyone else shooting around me.


the nearest outdoor range is about 30 miles away and you have to be a member of it. i have never been to it so i don't know anything about it.

we also used to shoot at my parent's old palce but they had to move into town and and its not set up for shooting, and probably not allowed in their subdivision. they have two acres but its a rich snooty type neighborhood with a bunch of drunk people driving around on golf carts and side by sides because the frio river runs through it.
