I’ve had my Ranger Lariat since April 6th. Just noticed the stitching on the driver’s seat is already fraying. This certainly is not a good indicator of longevity.

Have you taken it to Ford? Also are you sliding out of the seat when you exit? Not blaming you just curious.

I haven’t contacted Ford yet as I just noticed it today. And as far as getting in the truck, it’s the same as I’ve done for the past 40 years! Never had a vehicle do this and I tend to keep my modes of transportation for a long time. I had a 2010 Fusion with 420,000 miles on it and the seats still looked new!

It may be your seat belt rubbing there. Some people saw it on the 5G. There are cloth covers on Amazon that you can slip on the belt to keep it from chafing the seat. But let Ford fix it first.

That's crazy being as new as it is. Are you wearing something on your belt, etc that could be rubbing against this area of the seat getting in/out?

Nope. I can’t figure out why it’s doing this. I had 245,000 miles on my F150 and 420,000 on my Fusion and they aren’t this worn.

I’d like to see if I could assist with your seat concerns. Can you please send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage so I can start looking into this on my end?
