I have a 2024 Ranger Lariat FX4 2.3. It will randomly shift from normal drive to sand mode. My dealer claims to have never heard of this problem. I know it’s been discussed on here before but did anyone find a solution? Mine is starting to do it more often. Thanks

Its the drive mode dial switch. I had a similar issue where when you changed drive modes, it would keep scrolling to the end. They ordered a new switch. Ford sent the wrong one..the tech didnt know they had the incorrect switch but the process of him removing and reinstalling the old corrected the problem completely...these dial switches are janky

I had that happen to me this weekend (2025 RR). Was in normal mode, stopped, put in park, got out to get my mail, got back in, put in in drive and noticed I was in off-road mode. My girlfriend said she didn't touch anything (should we believe her?). I was able to switch it back to normal mode without any problems. It has only happened to me once before about 6 months ago and I was alone.
