New hiccup this morning - All the switches in the driver's side door stopped responding. Started truck and backed out of the driveway, tried to roll down front windows and got no response. Tried the rear windows and nothing happened. Tried mirrors, locks, and rest of buttons and got nothing. Noticed the other door's switches were illuminated while the driver's door was not. Other door's switches worked. Ended up going through the car wash on my way to work and while I was drying the truck, I decided to disconnect the battery to see if that did anything. Sure enough, switches came back to life. Crazy how these newer complex electronics can cause a gremlin with a simple door switch control. The whole time I was driving to work I kept thinking, "What if I get pulled over by the popo? They really love it when you open the door to greet them. Guess I won't be going through any drive thru's. Looks like I'll be pulling the door card to look at the connectors. Guess I'll work on installing that sound deadening material while I'm there."
Guess just like a computer, these things need a hard reboot every once in a while.
Curious if anyone else has experienced this one. I've had 2 jeeps in the past and I was always leery of the electrical gremlins common with that brand.
