Anybody tried a Dynomax ultra flow muffler on a 2.7 ecoboost? Did you do single or dual exhaust?

Supposed to have a deeper sound. Deeper than what is the question?

Thanks.

Beware of Walker (Dynomax) exhaust parts. They are incredibly cheap, and rust out very quickly. The factory system is way better.

I was hoping too, that someone would comment on the tone and sound level of the Ultra Flow on a 2.7.
These mufflers are available in 409 stainless, same as oem components and being “straight thru” should flow much better.

Ya, I was hoping for some opinion's here, but apparently nobody has tried the Ultra flow. I did contact Dynamax, and they told me they don't have a muffler for the Ranger. I don't understand that; If the muffler has the correct pipe diameter, and length, then why would it not work?

Via you tube, I have listened to MPI, Borla, MBRP, and others, and can't seem to find a nice mellow sound. Maybe what I am looking for is not out there, and obvioulsy I am way too picky.

I heard an OEM Raptor in the delaers parking lot, and it was nice, but don't know about it at higher RPM's. Ordering Raptor mufflers thru the dealer would 'prolly be lotsa $$$$.

The search goes on.

If it dimensionally meets your requirement, it fits

I’ve been on the fence about this for a while, now. The other dimension to consider is the amount of offset, that no one seems to list on their specs.
I would think you could tweak the hangers a bit to allow for a little difference.
It sounds like you are looking for the same result as me, louder and deeper at idle and midrange but a little bit subdued at wot.
Also, it is my understanding that turbo engines will benefit in the straight thru, perforated, packed type mufflers over the chambered style. The largest and longest (with the most packing) would be the quietest. Those YouTube videos with the cold starts, revving from idle and high rpm passes are not very helpful. Good luck with your project!

So after I reread my initial email to Dynomax, I did specify that I didn't want any drone. I am guessing the Dynomax muffler won't help with that, and that would explain the response I got from them.

Rats.
