I’ve received at least a few emails telling me to schedule my software updates in the few months that I’ve owned my Ranger, but the odd thing is that I have done so within a day or two of when I took delivery. I also don’t think I’ve received any updates.

Does everyone get these emails, including folks who have set the schedule and even received updates?

How does one check to see if we’re running the most recent version? I’m unclear if there’s just one monolithic bundle or if there are multiple updates that one might get? Obviously there are a bunch of components that each have firmware but I don’t know if they’re updated individually or only when a bundle gets pushed.

Never got a single email and I've had mine since March 21st. You can go into settings to check if there is an update and to set updates to be automatic. If you go to settings in your Ford Pass you can set it to automatic update

I have been receiving these emails as well. I took home my Ranger back in late May. What if I don't schedule it? Will I not get software updates?

I have not gotten a single email. I also do not have automatic updates enabled either. The only notification I get is a message that will pop up in the truck. Or, i see people talking about it here.

and they have my email because i get all the crap they try and sell me

Just a thought... for anyone that gets the email, did you get the FP tune done for the 3.0?

I have received the email and I had the tune done.

Just to clarify I’ll say again: I did indeed set the schedule for updates and have verified that what is in the app is what appears in the truck settings. The fact that the schedule is set is why I’m curious about the reminder emails to set a schedule.

if I could validate that I’m on the latest version or if an update is available I’d be comfortable ignoring the emails.

I'm another who recently bought my truck, setup the update schedule, and have been getting the reminder emails. I would have thought Ford would have been better.

Sadly you would have thought wrong.

I get emails all the time, surveys and Ford propaganda.

My truck came with updates set to auto but the app said it was not set. Go figure.
