saw this in passing on instagram one day and loved the concept right away. so i did the mod when i found a factory light. You can buy them on Ebay for anywhere between $250-400. Only takes a little wiring and run a wire. Absolutely love the mod especially on my white truck. The factory Ranger 3rd brake light is 3 wires. White, blue and orange. The light i got is from a 2019 F150 raptor and the plug has a 3 pin plug. I cut it off and then just matched up white to white, blue to blue and orange to orange. Then the 4th wire needs to be run to a power source that comes on with the parking lights/headlights so it functions with the 3 running lights on the brake light. I ran mine to the rear drivers side tail light by going down the back pillar by the rear door, behind the seat there is a round plug. poked a hole in it and ran it through, down and back to the tail light. Ziptied it and made sure it didn't interfere with any suspension or moving parts. Tapped into the wire pictured below. i ran a 2 conductor shielded wire and that left me with an extra wire if i ever need to tap an extra running light wire for any other reason then its already run. i used self soldering and waterproof butt splices.
