My pistol stays in an appendix holster. When I hop in the truck (or my other vehicles for that matter), this gets clipped over the edge of the door's map pocket with the pistol itself inside of the pocket (works well with the side holster I use). While I haven't done it in this truck and current pistol, I have done it before with Velcro. Take the soft side of the Velcro (so it doesn't tear you up or grab a bunch of fuzz when wearing the holster yourself) and attach to the holster with the rough side inside the map pocket. Helps keep it in place if necessary.

Someone please share some pics of how you mount a short rifle :sunglasses:
The rear under seat storage has to be my biggest complaint with this truck. I'd love to be able to stow a long gun under to bring to the range. With the transmission tunnel, really the only option is laid across the rear seat or come up with a vertical solution on a seat back I suppose. I've got a topper on order, so I suppose I'll find a way to secure the case in the bed coming soon...

I use the drawer of a Decked box and use it's key lock along with the electonic lock of the tailgate.

In the F150 Raptor there was room for a "mystery bag" for muzzle down carry. Have not tried it in the Ranger yet....

My SP101 fits nicely in this. I lock it if going to a no CCW carry areas, otherwise the SP101 goes with me.

I also utilize the console vault setup for my bond arms double barrel, the safes lid is spring loaded so I keep the center console down and if a situation ever arises it’s right there. I did also notice that there are fabric “drapes” on the seats between them and the center console, if one were so inclined, they could remove the seats and have some sort of holster stitched into it.

Thanks for the info and pics! I looked up the dimensions and this should should fit my needs. I just picked one of these up using Ford points. I will miss the size of the one that was in my last Truck (2018 Titan) that had a huge center console, but this should do nicely for when needed. I was considering the rear in-floor safe as it is larger, but the logistics of using it in any practical sense seemed a stretch (that one fits under the rear passenger side seat).

Update: Safe arrived today. I will be installing tomorrow. For reference purposes, It has just enough clearance for a P365 with X/XL frame and a RDS.

It would fit my truck gun than, i bet. A sarb6p with the slightly longer barrel

There was so many places to put the pistol in the titan that it was definitely a change in the.ranger

Agreed on the better Titan (i.e., full size) options. The B6P seems to have similar dimensions to the CZ 75. I'd guess a tight to no fit. Once I have in installed, will try my 75D PCR in it to try an approximate fit.

Update: with a rough fitting of the 75D PCR (uninstalled in vehicle), the slide length was too long to work. Bottoms out before clearance. Will try a number options and post up pics after I get the safe installed.

As clarification to my above post, it fit a standard P365 slide on an X frame with RD. Depth seems to be an issue with this console safe going much beyond that in slide length.

Console safe is installed as of this morning. Just awaiting the arrival of some foam block to use for additional padding. I did a quick fit test with several items to see what the possible max size would be. Everything was unloaded while verifying fit as the obligatory safety note. Hope this is helpful to anyone considering the center console safe as a lockable option.

P365 (X/XL frame and RDS) - easily fit
P365XL (w/ RDS) - easily fit
CZ 75D PCR - fit
G20 - No even close to fitting (slide could be fitted in diagonally, but grip is too long to rotate below the vault door opening)

I'd probably go not much bigger than the 75D PCR dimensions with this vault. A G19 is almost exactly the same dimensions as the PCR as a reference point. I don't have one of the former to verify hands on, but I'd strongly suspect that one would fit. A full size of any type, no way.

Here's the fit of the CZ as a visual. Note that there is some additional space if one were to play with the angles around the 12V bump out a bit.
