Enjoy the ARE topper. I too have one from Suburban Toppers and Dan was a joy to work with. Mp4965@1990 - plastic rails stayed on. There is/was a shim kit for the removeable tabs as noted by TheAvo

I tried searching for them, but I cant find them. I know putco has them for the tailgate bar they are selling on ford accessories, but thats 620 plus tax for blis/led tails.... I cant find the just the taillight jumpers, so next option was the leer 7pin trailer pass through harness and just put my own ends on it.

Are you buying a topper or just need to tap into the wiring? Sorry, I am not certain. If buying a topper, where are you buying it from and does it come with the needed wiring?

Yes I have a cap on order. A.R.E. CX Classic. and I am trying to find out how A.R.E. dealers are wiring in the caps. I can not any information on how they are wiring. do they have plug and play harnesses, or do they have to cut and splice.

If they have to cut and splice, I want get the pass through adapters and have them preinstalled so they can tap into those. plus then when I add my accessories, I can also tap into the same harnesses.

My upfitter Action Car and Truck(old name Action truck caps)told me the lead time on the cap production is 5 weeks. that was about 2 weeks ago. been digging for info since and cant find any info on how they wire the a.r.e. caps.

my last are cap on my 2008 ranger, was a cut and splice. they soldered the marker and ground at the tail light, then ran a wire uo the brake switch in the cab.

the solder joint was cracked, and rotting, gone green and black. so I want to eliminate that if they dont use plug and play adapters.

you able to look on your invoice and see if they used a wiring harness? please and thankyou
