You have to go on ford.com and specifically search for "performance tune" that will give you the tool AND tune....Make sure it's the 3.0 ranger tune....

Learned a lot today. Again, I live in AZ and when I tried to order the performance tune with the discount code, it wouldn't let me because I live in one of 3 states that doesn't allow one to purchase Ford performance products online. So I went to my local Ford dealer to ask why, or to see if they could get me the deal directly. On the Ford performance website, you have the option to prepay for the installation at a fixed rate dictated by Ford corporate. Well AZ is one of 3 states that said they dont want corporate dictating their labor rates. So since AZ dealers won't play the corporate game, the performance website won't sell to AZ residents. So what I did is order it and send it to a friend's house in another state. That worked.

Well.... so much for that idea. 2 hours after I placed the order, I got an email from Ford that the order was canceled. No explanation. Im just going to buy it from a 3rd party.

My dealer said participating dealers only. Had to order from nearby dealer. Install $112 as opposed to $200 from my dealer

This is what my purchase from Ford directly looked like. Tune nor this install isn't dealer specific. I purchased the part and install from Ford and then chose a dealership nearby. They just wanted proof that I had already paid for the install. I could have gotten the part cheaper through a reseller but then the installation at the dealer would have been 2 hour min at approx $175/hr. So I purchased from Ford and got a whole bunch of points which I used for mud flaps and some other Ford goodies.

I get the 25% off notification over and over from Ford. Seems it is almost constant 25% off. My dealer would not install FPT unless I got it from them. Install price labor was very reasonable. Most of the stuff is so overpriced even 25% doesn't make it a good price.

tried to order the mudflaps and tried multiple dealers...once i add a dealer it kills the code, also wont allow shipping to my address with the code either.
