Good for them! Proactive! If I had that kind of bargaining power, I'd use it to my advantage. Executives, like CEO's, sometimes have clauses in their contracts where they get millions upon their firing. It's what negotiating can get you. Some people are ok with getting very little for compensation, some people accept the bread crumbs they are given without a peep. Some people want an equal share of the pie, while others want the world given to them. And then there's everything in between. Who are we to say what their work is worth. The only person I care about when it comes to wages and benefits is me.I read somewhere the union asked for 4 working days with a 40% pay increase over 4 years (10% a year increase!).
