I've been working on this for a few weeks now as time and temperature allowed, but finally got everything fitted as best as possible with the proof-of-concept brackets and wired up the lights. These are still in the early prototype stage, but I've designed these to be mounted only having to remove the lower valance instead of full bumper removal.
These brackets will allow for multiple lighting options and mounting locations:
1. One, potentially two pairs of lower valance pod lights for that factory install look (you'll have to cut into the valance and bumper)
2. Grill height mounted directly to the upper part of the bracket
3. Multiple grill height pairs using an extruded aluminum t-slot bar.
I'm curious who might be interested in these as a Foutz light bar alternative? If there is enough interest, I'll source getting these professionally fabricated and for sale.
Cheers!
Below are some Harbor Freight pods mounted directly to the upper part of the brackets. I plan to run a bar (not pictured), but options are good.
