I've been working on this for a few weeks now as time and temperature allowed, but finally got everything fitted as best as possible with the proof-of-concept brackets and wired up the lights. These are still in the early prototype stage, but I've designed these to be mounted only having to remove the lower valance instead of full bumper removal.

These brackets will allow for multiple lighting options and mounting locations:

1. One, potentially two pairs of lower valance pod lights for that factory install look (you'll have to cut into the valance and bumper)
2. Grill height mounted directly to the upper part of the bracket
3. Multiple grill height pairs using an extruded aluminum t-slot bar.

I'm curious who might be interested in these as a Foutz light bar alternative? If there is enough interest, I'll source getting these professionally fabricated and for sale.

Cheers!

Below are some Harbor Freight pods mounted directly to the upper part of the brackets. I plan to run a bar (not pictured), but options are good.

Not bad for dust, fog, and inclement weather. Still needs some tweeks, and probably pods with tighter beam pattern if I want to be legal on-road. I tried to keep the spot beams inside the low beam cutoff, but there is quite a bit of scatter from the flood beam part of the lens.

Factory low beam and fogs -

Your bracket is exactly what I need to install these dynamic diodes…Thanks so much!!! Do you know if it fits 24 RR in USA? Or are there slight modifications needed?

My truck is a NA '24 model. These were a proof of concept I slapped together in my garage. A finished product will be at least a few more months out, but should be able to fit the Diode Dynamic SS3 pods and a bunch of others, but anything other than slotted mounting holes and shims (for height) will require customization I'm not sure I'm ready to take on. Lots of light options out there.

Would you prefer slotted holes, or a blank bottom plate that you drill out at home?

I’ll be using the diode dynamics. And I downloaded your latest cad file. Whichever is fine.

That's for the ROW model. This is the NA bumper, for reference. Notice the bolts are both recessed compared to the ROW bumper. I have 3 washers spacing the corner brace forward about 1/4" in this pic.

What does ROW stand for? I could add washers as needed after the bends… that’s fine, looks like 1.5” bend on the right side?and the same but a mirror image on the left?

thanks

That drawing isn't mine so I'm not 100% on his scale. I believe he has an Australian truck, commonly designated ROW (rest of the world). We're NA (North America) market, so the bumper is different. I can't comment on the drawing as I haven't had a chance to really do anything with it yet.

I tried to upload the files, and it seems as the piece is approx 15” x 8”. Anyone in North America run these files?

Yikes, it has a prompt that says it can’t understand the units, so I put it in as mm, and then it translated into inches.
I am thinking of how to adjust the settings to reduce size by 50%…

I don't think the measurements you have are too far off. It may be as simple as ROW trucks having a slightly narrower frame mounting points for the bumper. I'll be able to check next week once I get the truck back from my stereo installer and I get my new rack mounting brackets from my fabricator.

Cool thanks, I might just nutsert the lights onto the steel portion of the bumper.
