I love my new ranger but can't stand the front headrest. They push my head way forward and are non-adjustable. Does anyone know if you could possibly get from a different ford vehicle that would fit? I had a ford fusion with great headrest they were fully adjustable. any input would be appreciated.

Yeah, I don't like the way they tilt forward. Someone removed them an put them in backwards.
Also, they are adjustable, unless it's only on power seats, which would be odd.

Power Seats - Adjusting the Head Restraint

Pull the head restraint up to raise it.
To lower the head restraint:
  1. Press and hold the adjust and release button.
  2. Push the head restraint down.

I tried raising them up and down whish did not help. I was hoping someone new of a ford head restraint that would fit in the seat holes. I tried the turn it around suggestion and it looks stupid.

i turned mine around because it pushed my head forward. i hate the headrests, they are the only thing i hate on this otherwise perfect truck.

i have some focus st seats in teh garage i was going to put in my 04 ranger. i wonder if those will fit.

i also have some factory bmw recaros from my old 71 320i. i don;t think they will fit but i could check. they are leather though so it might look funny

Turned mine around also! Might be a concern for whiplash though...Had a 2018 Ford Edge before this with a ratcheting headrest. Im going to research that and see if it will fit. I will circle back and let the forum know what I find out.

Glad you brought this thread to the top. It reminded me to grab those focus head rests and so how they do.

Well, the poles are the same distance apart on the st headrest and the ranger headrest but the st poles are a slightly larger diameter and dont fit into the seat holes on the truck.

It sucks because the st headrests habe the tilt feature with multiple settings

So, so far, no go for these, unfortunately.

And the recaro bars are to far apart so they wont even align

I never paid attention to the ones on the rear seats. Are they different? Would those work?

I wear a hat with a full brim so turned them around. The rears are removed and stored in the garage rafters. I would rather to be able to see out the rear view mirror.
